The Complete Guide to Coach Bags
Coach started out in 1941 with men’s small leather goods, and women’s handbags came later before growing into the mainstay of the brand. Structured shoulder bags, relaxed hobos, satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and archive reissues all fall within today’s selection of coach handbags. In turn, this walkthrough covers what each main bag is, when it came along and how it is built. Launch years are given only where they are documented, and several well-known lines come without a reliable launch year on record.
All prices are observed market prices from 2026 rather than an official price list, and they change with size, material and promotions. A shopper choosing a first coach bag should know that near-identical names can point to completely different designs. A search for “couch bag”, which some shoppers type when looking for a Coach bag, can pull furniture listings into the results as the word also means a sofa.
The Tabby Family
The Tabby is a structured shoulder bag designed to be worn crossbody as well, featuring detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware. Stuart Vevers introduced it in 2019, taking its lines from a silhouette from Coach’s 1970s archive. The photographer Juergen Teller reportedly photographed the launch campaign, “Dream It Real”. The core product name is Tabby Shoulder Bag, and sizes 20, 26 and 36 have been listed.
Titles such as Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting belong to the padded Pillow Tabby, which followed in 2021. For US shoppers the Tabby 26 coach clearance was observed at $475, and in the UK at £475, with quilted and special-edition versions priced above it. Because it moves easily between shoulder and crossbody wear, it works well for buyers who want one bag for both day and evening.
The Brooklyn Line
Crafted in natural-grain leather, the Brooklyn is a soft, slouchy coach shoulder bag that sits far closer to a hobo than to the structured Tabby. It first appeared on the Fall 2024 runway and went on sale in August 2024. Reported listings point to two main sizes: the Brooklyn 28 and the bigger Brooklyn 39. Described as large enough for a 15-inch laptop, the 39 works as a practical work bag.
A newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported for Spring 2026, and it is a separate bag from the shoulder styles. The Brooklyn 28 was observed at £350 at John Lewis on the UK market. When The RealReal’s 2025 resale report said searches for Coach had jumped 160%, the Brooklyn was among the bags cited, though that figure reflects searches rather than resale prices.
The Rogue
Designed with top handles and a shoulder strap, the Rogue is Coach’s structured take on the satchel. First seen on the Fall 2016 runway, the bag was eventually discontinued; a 2021 relaunch returned it to the range. With versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins, the line stands at the top of Coach’s leather range. A Rogue 25 in alligator was observed at $8,000, the steepest Coach bag price observed in 2026.
Coach also sells a Made-to-Order Rogue, which has reportedly taken roughly 12 weeks, or about 16 weeks with exotic materials. By way of Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own resale and repair program, restored Rogue bags have also been offered. Many collectors see the Rogue as proof of how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship can go.
The Empire Carryall Family
Listed as the Empire Carryall Bag 34, the Empire Carryall is an elongated, east-west bag with top handles. It was first shown on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway and put on sale in February 2025. Fashion press reported that it was sold out on its release day. Softer-bodied variants called Soft Empire, including a Soft Empire 40, are different styles from the structured Carryall 34.
On Coach’s own UK website, the Empire Carryall 34 was observed at £475. For everyday carrying, its long top-handle shape gives shoppers a dressier alternative to a coach tote bag. Anyone comparing listings should confirm the number after the name, since 34 and 40 are different bags.

Kisslock: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel
Borrowed from vintage coin purses, the frame clasp called Kisslock is a motif that Coach associates with the Bonnie Cashin era. The term is shared by a number of different bags, and those should not be confused. Observed at $350, the Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather is reported to have been the opening look of the Fall 2026 show. Earlier Kisslock Frame versions also appear in listings, so the family may be older than that show.
These days, the Kisslock Dreamer 21 is seen mainly as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved; it is an older style featuring quilted nappa leather and rivets. The Kisslock Barrel Bag is a Spring 2026 Coach Originals reissue based on a 1973 design. A Kisslock Backpack was also shown for Fall 2026, adding yet another use of the name.
Swinger and Swing Zip: Notes on The Coach Originals
Consisting of newly made reissues of archive designs, The Coach Originals offers bags that are new rather than vintage. The Swinger is a short-strap, zip-top shoulder bag finished with a turnlock, and Coach traces the original design to 1987. Also offered With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard, the Swinger Bag 20 is the version now sold. Based on a 1998 design, the Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag, which means the two names cannot be used interchangeably.
Reports in early 2025 named other Originals including the Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005. The Coach Originals name was reportedly already in circulation by 2020. For anyone who wants an archive look without the wear of a truly vintage piece, the line makes sense.
Soho Sorted: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker
Soho is one of the most easily confused names in the Coach catalog as the name covers three different products. The original Soho Flap dates from 2006. Instead of being that 2006 bag, the Soho Bag 25 is a smaller, newer reissue, made in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard. Soho styles sit within The Coach Originals, and a Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also appeared in listings.
Unlike the two bags, the Soho Sneaker is footwear Coach has showcased in 2025 and 2026, and it sits with shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. Adding “Bag 25” or “Flap” to a search helps to separate the bags from the shoe. As no reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured, consult Coach’s own website before buying.
Willow, Cassie and Juliet
Treat any launch date you see online with caution: these three lines are well known, but none has a documented launch year. Willow is a pebble-leather family that has included the Willow Tote 24, a Willow Bucket and a Willow Shoulder bag. Coach’s own website has also carried a Custom Willow Tote; the Willow Tote 24, for its part, is a simple example of a coach tote bag. With a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps, the Cassie Crossbody Bag 19 is one version of Cassie, a line of crossbody and top-handle bags.
Under newer style codes, Cassie styles remain listed on Coach’s own website. Offered in versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30, Juliet is a slouchy shoulder bag in glovetanned leather. Because availability changes by season, confirm whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current before relying on an older review.
Observed Prices: Every Line at a Glance
The table below groups the main lines alongside their shape, key date and an observed 2026 price where one was reliably captured. Rather than entries on an official Coach price list, these are observed market prices, and they change with size, material, color and promotions. Sales tax is left out of US prices, whereas VAT is part of UK prices. Full-price styles can be marked down during sales, and a coach outlet offers its own promotions on outlet styles.
Coach Outlet is Coach’s own official channel, available through outlet stores and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website. About 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel, according to a 2014 quote from Coach’s head of investor relations. That figure is dated, and Tapestry has since discussed bringing some full-price collection product into outlets. When shopping for current-season lines, a full-price coach store or Coach’s own website is still the place to look.
